Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 22, 2026
1. Scope
This Privacy Policy explains the information handled when people use TruckBooker during its private beta. It covers public browsing, account access, business profiles, schedules, media, and booking-request features.
2. Account information
TruckBooker may collect and process an email address, account type, authentication identifiers, session information, and account status. Supabase provides authentication services and handles the credentials used to create and access an account.
3. Business-profile and schedule information
Food-truck owners may provide business names, descriptions, cuisine information, service areas, social handles, profile details, logos, truck photos, menu images, weekly schedules, date-specific schedule changes, and posted locations. Venues and event organizers may provide account and event-related information through booking requests.
4. Booking-request information
Booking requests may include the requester's name and email address, the selected truck, event date, start time, location, guest or event details, notes, request status, and links to relevant schedule entries. This information is used to send, display, manage, and preserve booking requests for the relevant authenticated users.
5. Technical information
TruckBooker and its service providers may process technical information needed to operate and secure the service. Depending on how the service is accessed, this may include IP address, browser and device details, request logs, error records, authentication tokens, cookies, local browser storage, and similar operational information. TruckBooker does not claim that all analytics, logs, cookies, or technical collection are disabled.
6. How information is used
Information may be used to:
- Create, authenticate, restore, and secure accounts.
- Operate truck profiles, public listings, schedules, media, and booking requests.
- Show each authenticated user the records and controls appropriate to their role.
- Maintain service reliability, troubleshoot errors, prevent abuse, and protect users.
- Comply with legal obligations and preserve records needed for security, fraud prevention, and operational integrity.
- Evaluate and improve beta features.
7. Public information
Information on a published food-truck profile may be visible without logging in. Public information may include the business name, cuisine, description, service area, social handle, logo, truck photos, menu images, published schedules, public locations, and public schedule changes. Users should not place sensitive personal information in fields intended for public display.
8. Private booking information
Private booking details are limited through account permissions to the relevant authenticated requester and the owner of the requested truck. Public visitors are not intended to receive private booking lists, requester contact details, private notes, or private-event details.
9. Service providers and limited sharing
TruckBooker uses service providers needed to operate the platform. Supabase provides authentication, database, and media-storage services. Vercel hosts and delivers the application. These providers may process information under their own service terms and privacy practices as needed to provide infrastructure, security, logging, and support functions.
Information is also shared between the relevant users when necessary to submit and respond to a booking request. TruckBooker may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights or safety, investigate fraud or abuse, or maintain the security of the platform. TruckBooker does not claim that information is never shared.
10. Retention
Information may be retained while an account or feature is active and afterward when reasonably necessary for security, legal, operational, backup, dispute-resolution, or fraud-prevention purposes. Retention periods may vary depending on the type of information and why it is needed.
11. Access, correction, and deletion
An account-access, correction, and deletion process will be made available before any paid public launch. TruckBooker does not currently claim that automated account deletion is available. Some information may need to be retained after a request when required for security, legal, operational, or fraud-prevention reasons.
12. Data security
TruckBooker uses authentication, access controls, database policies, and private media storage designed to limit access according to user roles. No system can guarantee absolute security, and users are responsible for protecting their credentials and devices.
13. Children
TruckBooker is not intended for children under 13, and children under 13 should not create accounts or submit personal information through the service.
14. Policy changes
This Policy may be updated as the private beta and platform evolve. The “Last updated” date identifies the current version.
